Resolutions.....mostly met

So.

It's time to review my resolutions from 2009.

I can explain! And I'm going to!

Okay, #1: Take non-awful pictures of Casey and Spencer.

This is what I got.

I'm hoping having a digital camera will help. Please notice how Cody is in both pictures. Maybe it's not that photos of them are so not-amazing. Maybe it's just that I like Cody more.

They're fine pictures. It might be easier if they weren't so annoyed with me:
I have no idea why! It's not like I'm annoying!

Or...no. I'm not. They need to embrace the camera. Yes.

#2: Take a picture of Cody holding a baby.
I nailed it! How can your heart not melt when you see this?! It's Cody, with his second cousin, Egan. Cody actually likes Egan. Egan seems okay with Cody, now that he knows what beards are.

I have to be honest, I feel really good about this resolution.

#3: Stop wasting pictures.

I have a digital camera now. I'm exempt. I broke the needle on a sewing machine last week and took not one, but two!!!, pictures of it. I'll spare you.

For now.

#4: Can tomatoes.

Nope.

#5: Stop freaking out about weddings.
Sure. I remained calm as a program girl at Lynn's wedding, and later as a punch server at her reception. And then I cut up fruit like a pro for Sara's reception. A calm, wedding-loving pro. Because I love weddings.

#6: Cody is going to lose weight.

Whoa. He did. I don't have any pictures that would make good 'before' and 'after' examples, but trust me. If you've seen him, you've noticed. This has less to do with my nagging and more to do with the fact that he's now working ten-hour days where he's constantly on his feet and moving.

Whatever the reason, he looks great. And he feels good. And he looks great. Really great. Stronger than ever. Hot, even. I'm going to move on now.

#7: Read 70 books.

Nope. I'd like to make excuses about the density of certain subject matters, the small font, the number of pages, or the distracting cover art. But I can't.

I read 54 books. That's 3 less than last year. It still averages to more than a book a week, but just barely.

Reading 100 books before I turn 28 seems daunting now.

I'm looking forward to this.

Which reminds me:

Book list posts are coming up next.
